https://music.gatewayy.net/changes Changes to Music, the screen-reader-friendly chart history and song lookup site, in plain language. en-us Sat, 31 Oct 2026 00:30:00 GMT https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-30 music-changes-2026-10-30-misspelled-artist Sat, 31 Oct 2026 00:30:00 GMT A song title with the artist spelled a little differently ("Brian Adams") now puts the right recordings first instead of burying them; results that match nothing typed keep Apple's order; the plain-text answers correct a misspelled artist and say so. Search now also uses Apple Music's own search (better ranking; finds albums like Road Apples), artist names that sound alike count as a match (Steven/Stephen, Neal/Neil), and apostrophes no longer split words. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-28 music-changes-2026-10-28-layout Thu, 29 Oct 2026 04:00:00 GMT Text and spacing grow a little on large monitors, so the page no longer sits in a narrow strip on a big screen; your browser's text size setting still applies. The "More sites by Brett" list now shows a few related sites and a link to all of them. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-27 music-changes-2026-10-27 Tue, 27 Oct 2026 17:00:00 GMT The facts at the top of About the artist now have a small icon beside each label, to make them easier to scan by eye. The icons are decoration only; screen readers read the facts exactly as before. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-26 music-changes-2026-10-26 Mon, 26 Oct 2026 23:00:00 GMT 13 Billboard genre charts (rock, alternative, adult contemporary, dance, Latin, Regional Mexican, Christian, smooth jazz, and country, R&B, Latin, Christian and dance album charts), off by default under Choose charts. New charts for Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. A new Classical music section: search a composer for their best-known works, or a work for its recordings grouped by album with movements. Song search now labels each version (mono, stereo, single version, remaster, live and so on), and opening a chart hit picks the single or original version first. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-25 music-changes-2026-10-25 Sun, 25 Oct 2026 23:00:00 GMT Album charts for 10 more countries and singles charts for 11 more, plus the Billboard Global 200. Number ones for a date are grouped into singles and albums. Weeks at number one now count every run at the top, next week's placeholder row is no longer read as a number one, song pages say whose recording Wikipedia describes, and song search shows every artist's versions, original first. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-24 music-changes-2026-10-24 Sat, 24 Oct 2026 23:00:00 GMT Albums that Apple's album search misses by title, such as Road Apples, are now found through their songs, and album pages load more reliably. Chart peaks for current releases are checked more often. The gold number-one badge now uses black text for better contrast. https://music.gatewayy.net/changes#2026-10-19 music-changes-2026-10-19 Mon, 19 Oct 2026 23:00:00 GMT The whole American Top 40 countdown for any weekend since July 4, 1970, number 1 first or 40 to 1, with the songs that dropped off and the week's stats, read from The Real American Top 40 fan wiki.
